We’ve got a 767 mile drive ahead of us tomorrow back to Chicago.. I’m 100% certain that we will be spinning the record every mile of the journey..
We’re putting the finishing touches on the record as I type this! Brian is actually in the live room right now putting real violin down on “Sweet Misery”. This record is sounding SICK. It hands down blows Hello Again out of the water. We also have some faster stuff as well that I know a lot of our fans from our past bands have been waiting for :). We celebrated St Patty’s day on Saturday with Glita and Chris and Rob from Day At The Fair. Our hotel had a pretty nice Irish pub in it so we got the full St Patty’s day experience… we’re only a few days away from Leaving Jersey and we’re all definitely going to miss good ole’ Boonton, NJ. The people here have been amazing to us.. we actually ran into a lady in town whom owns a violin shop and she actually leant us a violin free of charge.. no need to get all mushy just yet though as we still have a few days…. and as much as we’ll miss this place.. I think we all miss our homes a little bit more :). We’ll add some more updates .. and will definitely be keeping up with this blog after we leave the studio.. so stay tuned… by the sounds of this record I’m sure we’re not going away any time soon…

We had a day off yeserday so we ventured out to NYC for some R and R. We ventured into Central Park (we took a bike cart :)), hit up Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller center, ate lunch at “Dr Jekyll and Mr Hydes” … which was interesting .. its a horror themed restuarant where the bathrooms are hidden behind book shelves and the paintings eyes move, and hit a great sushi place for dinner called Haru… we got a bunch of cool video footage that was actually pretty funny… and then the sd card died on us somehow so we unfortunately lost it all. I’ve played NYC a million times and we usually don’t get to do touristing things so it was fun. BIG shout out to Meredith at Doc Hollidays for hooking it up.. Doc Hollidays is a white trash bar in the middle of NYC with no White trash. If your ever in the east village check it out and tell Meredith we say Hi!
We also ventured over to the NYC Angels and Kings as we often wind up there in Chicago and are friends with some of the investors… the Chicago one is awesome, however we’re unsure of the NYC one as we were turned away at the door because we’re not Lesbians (as the door guy put it)…. Sunday nights are apparently not open to straight folk… I guess we’ll have to check it out some other time.
We’re back in the studio hard at work now… Nates currently laying his riffage to reel … and as always.. we’ll keep checking back.
