The Voyage…
None of us have ever been as pumped to lay a bunch of songs to tape as we are with this album.. a lot of bands never make it to a second record and we are greatful to Dynamord (our Japanese Label :)) for all of their support and can’t wait to finally get a release in the US! Producer … and old friend… Rob Freeman will be helming the board this time around for us.. he’s extremely focused and brings a lot to the table and we’re sure he’ll help take these songs to the next level.
We arrived in Jersey yesterday.. half of us flew and the other half us drove out. Chicago to Jersey is no sunday drive (around 800 miles) but we stopped in Buffalo and stayed at the house I grew up in and got to eat some Buffalo wings, drink some old beer that has been sitting in my parents basement for god knows how long, and watched some quality tv in the form of Cops.. all in all it was a pretty good way to unwind from the long drive.
Upon arriving in Jersey (Newark to be exact) we checked into the hotel around 6pm took some showers and sought out a bar to pass the time as we were amidst a rather intense snow storm and getting back in the car to seek out entertainment was the last thing we wanted to do. We found a swanky joint in Penn Station (our hotel was attached to Penn) and killed the next few hours … anyone who has been to Penn station Im sure knows this isn’t exactly the most desirable vacation destination … we decided to call it a night when some dude asked us if we had any PCP… and since we were conveniently all out *sarcasm*.. we figured it was time to head back to the room :).
We start tracking tomorrow and will post some more of course!
