1 week in Jersey and still no accent
we’re all done with the drums and bass now and are working in two or three song blocks of guitars and vocals.. this always for me personally is my favorite part as our songs are starting to take shape…… Chris is in the vocal booth right now singing and the rest of us are sitting in the studio listening and geeking hard on the internet :).
We also just recorded a video update.. we’ll get it up today so make sure to check back later for that!
Yesterday was pretty much a work horse type of day.. Brian trucked through the rest of his bass parts.. we went to a local bar after we were done in the studio called Johnny’s tavern in Boonton.. it was walking distance from the studio .. so we closed it down naturally :). It seemed to be a locals only type of place.. but they can’t keep us away when they have $1.50 pints and microwave popcorn! After a few weird glances we got to talking with some of the patrons and made some new friends.. its safe to say we’ll be heading back there again. I felt like we were in a bar in Dumb and Dumber for some odd reason.. I kept waiting for some dirty trucker to get up and yell “Kick his ass C-bass!”… dive bars are always the best.
I think we’ll take it easy tonight and just go back to the hotel and relax in the hot tub … a the hard life :).
